Udari Chamika Warnakulasooriya (born March 22, 1988) is a talented actress and model from Sri Lanka. She is well-known for her roles in Sri Lankan movies and TV shows. Many people know her from popular TV series like Bonda Meedum and Pini.

About Udari's Early Life

Udari was born in Negambo, Sri Lanka, on March 22, 1988. Her parents are Greshan Fernando and Chitra Pushpakanthi. She also has an older brother named Chamika Haritha.

Udari went to Ave Maria Convent Negombo for school. She was very active there! She played in both the Western and Eastern school bands. She was also part of the Western Folk Band. Udari loved sports too. She played netball, cricket, elle, and volleyball for her school teams. After finishing school, she studied child psychology. She earned a degree from the American College of Higher Education.

Udari is married to Sujith Indeewara Wijeratne, who is a doctor. They have two children, a daughter and a son.

Udari's Modeling Journey

Udari started her modeling career in 2003. She won the Dance Talent Crown at the Contest Fiesta Beauty Competition. This was a big step for her.

Later, in 2007, she entered the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World pageant. She became a finalist in this competition. She also won several special titles, including:

In 2015, Udari competed in the Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. Globe pageant. She won the main title! During this event, she also won other awards like:

Udari's Acting Career

Before becoming a drama star, Udari appeared in many TV commercials. Some famous ones were for Holcim and Nestlé. She also starred in music videos. She was in Daddy's song "Borukari" and Sanka Dineth's "Adare Oba Ai Hera Giye." Udari even hosted a music show called "Juke Box" on TV Derana.

When she was 21, Udari made her first movie. It was called Paya Enna Hiru Se, directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya. She acted alongside Ranjan Ramanayake in this film.

Udari's first TV show was Bonda Meedum. This was a very popular drama directed by Chandika Senanayake. She played the main character, Sansala, with Saranga Disasekara. The show was a huge hit across Sri Lanka. Because of its popularity, Udari was nominated for "Most Popular Actress" at many TV award shows.

During the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Udari worked on many films. She completed filming for eight movies! These included:
