Uladzimir Ivanavich Zhuravel (born June 9, 1971 – died November 18, 2018) was a famous Belarusian professional football player and coach. He was known for his skills as a Midfielder. In 2018, he was the head coach for the team Shakhter Karagandy. He started his professional playing career in 1990 with FC Dinamo Minsk in the top league of the Soviet Union.

Early Playing Days

Uladzimir Zhuravel started his youth career with FC Dinamo Minsk from 1989 to 1990. He then joined the senior team of Dinamo Minsk in 1990. This was a big step for him, as he began playing in the Soviet Top League. He stayed with Dinamo Minsk for many years, from 1990 to 1995, and then again from 1996 to 1997.

Playing for Different Clubs

Throughout his career, Uladzimir Zhuravel played for several football clubs. After his first time at Dinamo Minsk, he played for Hapoel Jerusalem F.C. in 1996. He then returned to Dinamo Minsk. Later, he played for teams like FC Zhemchuzhina Sochi (1998–1999) and FC Kristall Smolensk (2000–2002). He also played for FC Darida Minsk Raion in 2003 and finished his playing career with FC Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino from 2004 to 2005.

Uladzimir Zhuravel's coaching career began in 2005 as an assistant coach for FC Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino. He even served as a caretaker coach for the same team in 2006. He then moved to FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk, first as an assistant in 2010, and then as the head coach from 2010 to 2013. He also coached FC Dinamo Minsk in 2014, FC Gomel from 2015 to 2016, and FC Dinamo Brest from 2016 to 2017. His last coaching role was with FC Shakhter Karagandy in 2018.

His Passing

Uladzimir Zhuravel sadly passed away on November 18, 2018, after dealing with an illness. He is remembered as an important figure in Belarusian football.
