The Umanata Municipality (sometimes called Humanata) is a special area in Bolivia. It is part of the Eliodoro Camacho Province in the La Paz Department. Think of it like a county or a district within a larger state.
Umanata became its own municipality on February 6, 2009. Before that, it was a smaller part of the Viacha Municipality. The main town in Umanata is also called Umanata (or Humanata). In 2001, about 196 people lived there.
Where is Umanata Located?
The Umanata Municipality is in the northwest part of its province. It shares a border with Peru to the northwest. To the east, it is next to the Mocomoco Municipality. To the south and southwest, it borders the Puerto Acosta Municipality.
