Una is a small place in Kern County, California. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially part of a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county government.
Una is located about 10.5 miles (which is about 17 kilometers) west-northwest of a bigger city called Bakersfield. It sits at an elevation of 351 feet (or 107 meters) above sea level. The community is also found along the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. This railroad was very important for connecting places and moving goods across the country.
