Union Kleinmünchen Linz is a women's football club from Linz, Upper Austria. It started in 1980. This club was special because it was the first one made just for women's football! Their team colors are red and white.
How the Club Started
Union Kleinmünchen Linz began in 1980. Right away, they started playing in the highest league for women's football. They stayed in this top league for a very long time, from 1980 all the way until 2008!
In the 2008/2009 season, they played in the second league for the first time. But they didn't stay there long! In the very next season, 2009/2010, they won the championship in the second league. This win meant they moved back up to the top league, which is called the ÖFB-Frauenliga.
