Uniopolis is a small community in Auglaize County, Ohio, United States. It is known as an "unincorporated community." This means it is not a separate city or town with its own local government. Instead, it is part of a larger area called a township.
In 2020, about 188 people lived in Uniopolis. It is part of the Wapakoneta, Ohio area. Students in Uniopolis go to schools in the Wapakoneta City School District.
History of Uniopolis
Uniopolis was started a long time ago, in 1837. It became an official village with its own government in 1900.
However, in 2013, the people of Uniopolis voted to "disincorporate." This means they decided to stop being a separate village. Uniopolis then became part of Union Township.
The old village hall in Uniopolis is now a museum. It is a special building listed on the National Register of Historic Places because of its historical importance.
