Universidad Iberoamericana León (IBERO León) is a private university in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. It is a Catholic university run by the Jesuit order. The university was started in 1978. It began as a campus of Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
IBERO León was created to offer higher education in the state of Guanajuato. It also serves the Bajio region, which is a central area of Mexico. Today, IBERO León operates independently from the Mexico City campus. It is part of the Jesuit University System. This system is one of the largest university networks in the world. It includes over 200 universities across five continents.
The university is a private organization. It is managed by a group called "Promotion of Culture and Higher Education Bajio, AC." IBERO León offers many types of education.
