University of Tarapacá facts for kids
The University of Tarapacá is a big school in Chile. It's called Universidad de Tarapacá in Spanish. This university has four main campuses. Three are in Arica and one is in Iquique. It's an important university in northern Chile.
History of the University
The University of Tarapacá was officially started in 1981. However, it began teaching students in 1982. This university grew from an older branch of the University of Chile. That old branch was also located in Arica.
What Can You Study?
The university has different main areas of study. These are called faculties. Each faculty focuses on a specific group of subjects.
