Untalkative Bunny is a fun animated TV show about a yellow rabbit that acts like a person. This rabbit lives in a big city, which looks a lot like Ottawa, Canada! The show is made for kids and teens. Each episode is usually short, about 4-5 minutes long. Sometimes there are longer "specials" in each season.

You could watch Untalkative Bunny on Teletoon in Canada. It also aired on Disney Channel in many parts of the world, like the UK and France. The very first time people saw this bunny was in a pilot episode in 1997. The show officially started on Teletoon on April 15, 2001.

About the Show

The show's main character is Bunny, who lives in a big city. The episodes often show Bunny dealing with everyday problems in a modern city. The humor in the show can be a bit unusual or "surreal," meaning things happen that are unexpected or dream-like.

Untalkative Bunny also talks about important topics. These include things like healthy eating (dieting), choosing not to eat meat (vegetarianism), treating everyone fairly (racism), and taking care of our planet (environmentalism).

Meet the Characters

Besides Bunny, there are a few other characters who show up often:

  • Squirrel: This orange squirrel often visits Bunny. Squirrel lives in the wild parts of the city, like parks. But Squirrel still enjoys modern comforts, just like Bunny! Sometimes, Squirrel's son and daughter come along too.
  • Emu: Emu is a blue bird who can be grumpy and easily annoyed. Emu often gets Bunny into tricky situations.
  • Friendly Friend: This is a pink creature that doesn't have a clear animal type. Friendly Friend usually bothers Bunny in a playful way.
  • Beaver: Beaver is a purple character who likes to follow the latest trends. Beaver's favorite sport is hockey!

Behind the Scenes

The first season of Untalkative Bunny had 65 episodes, each about five minutes long. Later, two more seasons were made. Many people worked together to write these episodes.

The music in the show is very interesting! It includes different styles like bossa nova (a type of Brazilian music) and jazz. Canadian composers David Burns and Wayne Bartlett created the music for the series.
