Urangeline is a small village community located in the central part of a region in Australia called the Riverina. You can find it about 9 kilometres north of Urangeline East. It's also about 16 kilometres northeast of Bidgeemia.
Urangeline once had its own Post Office. It first opened its doors on January 1, 1882. The Post Office served the community for many years before closing in 1934.

Urangeline has a history of local sports, especially Australian Rules Football and cricket.
Urangeline Football Club
The Urangeline Football Club was active in the early 1900s.
- In 1912, the club was first mentioned when they won a game against Osborne Football Club.
- They played friendly games against nearby towns until 1915.
- The club then took a break during World War One.
Football Associations
After the war, football became popular again.
- In 1919, the Urangeline Football Association was created.
- Teams from Pleasant Hills, Osborne, and Urangeline joined.
- Osborne won the first championship in 1919.
- In 1920, Urangeline FC played in the Lockhart & District Football Association.
- Pleasant Hills FC won that championship.
The "All Blacks" and Later Years
- In 1921, the Urangeline "All Blacks" joined the Pleasant Hills Football Association.
- They had a fantastic year and won the championship without losing a single game.
- The next year, in 1922, Osborne beat them by just one point in the grand final.
- The Urangeline Football Association started up again in 1923.
- Osborne defeated Urangeline in the grand final that year.
- In 1924, Osborne won the championship again.
- By 1925, the league had six teams. Urangeline FC lost to Osborne FC in the grand final.
- Urangeline hosted the grand final in 1926, where Osborne won the Church Cup.
- In 1927, the league changed its name to the Osborne & District Football League.
- The Urangeline FC took a break, but the Urangeline Diggers FC joined the competition.
- The club was training again in 1930, hoping to restart the local football competition.
- In 1939, the Urangeline Football Club reformed after a ten-year break.
- They decided to wear pale blue and gold jerseys with white shorts.
- However, in 1940, the club went into recess again because of World War Two.
- They generously donated their extra money to the local Red Cross.
Urangeline Cricket Club
Cricket was also played in the Urangeline area.
- The first record of the Urangeline Cricket Club (CC) is from 1913.
- They played a game against Lockhart CC and won.
