How Urduliz FC Started
Urduliz Fútbol Taldea was founded in 1996. For many years, the club played in lower football leagues. These were usually the seventh and sixth levels of Spanish football.
Moving Up the Leagues
In 2014, the club had a big success. They won the Preferente league. This win helped them get promoted to the División de Honor. This was an important step up for the team.
On May 27, 2019, Urduliz FC made history. They were promoted to the Tercera División for the first time ever. This is a higher and more competitive league in Spanish football.
Recent Seasons and Achievements
In the 2020–21 season, Urduliz FC played very well. They even reached the play-offs. These are special games to decide which teams get promoted to an even higher league. However, they did not win their final play-off match against Sestao River.
Since then, Urduliz FC has continued to play in the higher divisions. They have spent two seasons in the Tercera División. They have also played four seasons in the Tercera Federación (which used to be called Tercera División RFEF).
