Urvashi Dholakia was born on July 9, 1978. Her mother is from Punjab, and her father is from Gujarat. She grew up with a mix of these two cultures.
Urvashi became a mother at a young age. She had twin boys named Kshitij and Sagar when she was 17. She has raised them as a single mother.

Starting Her Career (1985–2000)
Urvashi Dholakia began acting when she was just 6 years old. Her first appearance was in a TV commercial for Lux soap. She also acted as a child in the TV series Shrikant, playing the character Rajlaxmi.
Her first adult role on TV was as Shilpa in the show Dekh Bhai Dekh. After that, she appeared in another series called Waqt Ki Raftar.
Becoming Widely Known (2000–2011)
The 2000s were a very successful time for Urvashi Dholakia. She became one of the most popular actresses. She received a lot of praise and awards for her roles in shows created by Ekta Kapoor. These shows included Ghar Ek Mandir, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Kahiin To Hoga.
Her role as Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay was especially famous. This show ran from 2001 to 2008 and was one of the longest-running Indian TV series. Many people still remember Komolika as a very iconic villain character. Urvashi won many awards for this role. She has worked with Ekta Kapoor many times since then.
Winning Bigg Boss and More (2013–2019)
In 2012, Urvashi Dholakia joined the reality show Bigg Boss 6 on Colors TV. This show involves contestants living together in a house. On January 12, 2013, she won the season, becoming the champion.
Later, in 2017, she appeared in the historical fantasy series Chandrakanta. In this show, she played the role of Queen Iravati.
Her Television Comeback (2022–Present)
Urvashi Dholakia returned to acting in TV dramas in 2022. She played the character Urvashi in the popular series Naagin 6.
