Playing for Clubs
Early Career and CSKA Moscow Debut
Vadim Karpov started his professional football journey at a young age. He made his first appearance for CSKA Moscow on September 19, 2019. This was in a Europa League game against Ludogorets Razgrad. At the time, he was only 17 years old. He was chosen to start the game because five other defenders were injured. CSKA Moscow lost that game 1–5.
Just a few days later, on September 22, 2019, he played his first game in the Russian Premier League. This was a big step for him. CSKA Moscow won that match 3–2 against Krasnodar.
Loan Spells and Transfers
To gain more experience, Vadim Karpov went on loan to other clubs. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. On September 7, 2021, CSKA Moscow announced that Karpov joined Tekstilshchik Ivanovo for the 2021–22 season.
Later, he also played for Ufa on loan during the 2023–24 season. After playing well there, he officially moved to FC Ufa on July 13, 2024. He continued to play for Ufa until 2025.
Joining Shinnik Yaroslavl
As of 2025, Vadim Karpov joined Shinnik Yaroslavl. He continues his career as a defender with this club.
