Valdenia Camille "Val" Winn was born on December 7, 1950. She is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party. Ms. Winn serves in the Kansas House of Representatives. She represents the 34th district and has been a representative since 2001.
Since 1972, Dr. Winn has also been a professor. She teaches at Kansas City Kansas Community College. She is currently the Vice President of the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools Board of Education.

Valdenia Winn's Early Life and Education
Valdenia Winn studied at the University of Kansas. In 1972, she earned a college degree to teach. She later received a Master's degree in History. In 1994, she completed her PhD in History.
Valdenia Winn's Career in Public Service
Valdenia Winn is very active in her community. She helps lead local groups like the Northeast Coalition. She also works with the Northeast Cooperative Council. She is a member of the Struggler's Hill/Roots Neighborhood Association.
