Valeriya Sergeevna Kozlova (born on January 22, 1988), known as Lera Kozlova, is a talented Russian musician. She became famous as the singer and drummer for the pop-rock band Ranetki from 2005 to 2008. Lera was also the lead singer for the band 5sta Family between 2015 and 2017.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Lera Kozlova was born in the big city of Moscow, Russia. When she was 12 years old, she joined a children's music group called "Pinocchio." There, she started learning how to sing and play percussion instruments like drums. This was the start of her exciting music journey!
Her Music Career
Being Part of "Ranetki Girls" (2005–2008)
From 2005 to 2008, Lera was the main singer and drummer for the popular band "Ranetki." The band was so well-known that they even had their own TV show on the STS channel. Lera also starred in this TV series. The band appeared on other TV shows like "Make Kids" on MTV and "5 Stars" on Channel One.
In 2006, "Ranetki" released their first album, also called "Ranetki." Lera also helped record an album with a punk rock band called "Tarakany!" that same year. In 2008, she worked on songs for the band's second album, "Our Time Has Come."
Lera was very popular! In 2008, people in Ukraine voted her the "Discovery of the Year." On November 1, 2008, Lera played her last concert with "Ranetki" at the Luzhniki Palace of Sports. The next day, it was announced that Lera had decided to leave the band.
Starting a Solo Career: "LeRa" and "LERALERA" (2009–2011)
In 2009, Lera began her solo music career. She used the stage name "LeRa." Her first solo concert was on February 20, 2009, in Samara, Russia. She planned to release her first solo album, "My Summer Rain," but it never came out.
Later in 2009, Lera started a new solo project called "LERALERA." She even appeared in a music video for the band Quest Pistols called "He Is Near."
In June 2010, Lera released her official debut album, "Give Me A Sign." It came out in Ukraine on July 7, 2010, and in Russia in December 2010. There was even a game released called "LERALERA. Beginner's Star School"!
After the fifth season of the "Ranetki" TV series, Lera left the show in 2010. In July 2011, she went on a fun tour called "Summer, Swim Trunks, Rock 'n' Roll!" with other bands. However, later in 2011, Lera announced that she was ending the "LERALERA" project and taking a break from music.
Joining "5sta Family" (2015–2017)
On May 23, 2015, the band "5sta Family" announced that Lera was their new lead singer. She took the place of their previous vocalist. On July 8, they released a new song called "Aptly," which introduced Lera to their fans.
They released more songs together, including "Erasing the Borders" in January 2016 and "T-shirt" in May 2016. They also released a music video for "T-shirt." In 2017, they released "Vesuvius" and "High-Rises."
On November 5, Lera shared on her Instagram that her last concert with "5sta Family" would be on December 2 in Nizhny Novgorod. She then left the band.
The "KURAGA" Project (2017–2019)
In May 2017, some of the former members of the "Ranetki" band, including Lera, started a YouTube channel called KURAGA. This channel was about their lives after the band ended. They also started working on getting the band back together. However, the project faced some challenges.
On June 29, 2019, Lera performed at the "Generation NEXT" festival with her former "Ranetki" bandmates.
Forming "NYUTA&LERA" (2019–2020)
On November 8, 2019, Lera announced a new music duo called "NYUTA&LERA." She formed this group with Anna "Nyuta" Baydavletova. They signed with Warner Music Russia. Their first song, "My Boy," came out on February 14, 2020. However, in the summer of 2020, Nyuta announced that the project was ending.
