Where is Valparaíso de Goiás?
Valparaíso is found on a high flat area called Planalto Central. It is southwest of Brasília, the capital of Brazil. The city is part of a larger area known as the Entorno do Distrito Federal.
The distance to Goiânia, the state capital, is about 188 kilometers. This trip usually takes around 2 hours and 20 minutes by car.

The economy of Valparaíso de Goiás is based on a few main things. These include shops, small factories, and companies that offer services. The city has good potential to grow. It has many trees, water sources, and plenty of energy. Its location is also very good for business.
Highway BR 040 cuts through the city. About 50,000 vehicles use this road every day. There is also a railway line. These transport links attract companies that specialize in moving goods.

City History

There are two neighborhoods in the city whose names are spelled with a "z". These are Valparaízo I and Valparaízo II. This spelling matches the Chilean city. However, in Portuguese, the city's name began to be written with an "s", as in Valparaíso.
