History of Vandalia
Vandalia was started in 1904. It began with a post office and a store. These were built along the "Hi-Line." The Hi-Line was a major railroad route. It belonged to the Great Northern Railway. The main business in Vandalia was making bricks. These bricks were used to build many public buildings across Montana.
