Vansville is a small place in Prince George's County, Maryland, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community," which means it's not a separate town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area. For counting people and statistics, Vansville is included in the Beltsville area.
The Story Behind Vansville's Name
Vansville got its name from a family called Van Horne. This family used to run a special kind of inn, known as a tavern, a long time ago. Their tavern was located right along an important old road, which is now known as U.S. Route 1. Travelers would stop there to rest and eat.
