His first TV writing job was a funny show called Jutt and Bond in 2001. This show starred Fawad Khan. Vasay decided to write it himself when another writer couldn't. He thought, "How bad could my writing be?" and gave it a try.
In 2010, Vasay wrote his first long TV series, Dolly ki Ayegi Baraat. It was a big hit with both viewers and critics. After this success, he continued writing longer TV shows. Vasay has said he enjoys writing for films and TV more than short comedy shows now.
Some of his well-known TV shows as a writer include Timmy G, Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat, Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat, and Jackson Heights (drama). He also wrote the script for the hit film Main Hoon Shahid Afridi in 2013.
Vasay has also appeared in TV commercials. He also wrote as a film reviewer for a short time. He believes his writing aims to entertain people. He wants to show different types of characters that exist around us. Vasay looks up to famous comedy writers like Anwar Maqsood.
