Veer facts for kids

Veer is a special campaign and clothing brand from India. It was started in a city called Gurugram. Veer is a non-profit group, which means it helps people and doesn't try to make money for itself.

The campaign was launched by the Being Human Foundation, which is linked to famous actor Salman Khan. They worked with the American India Foundation to start Veer.

How Veer Started

Veer began in July 2014 in Gurugram, Haryana.

What Veer Does

The Veer campaign helps people who have physical challenges. It works to give them education and jobs. They teamed up with the Indian government's Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Together, they aim to teach useful skills to over 500,000 people with physical challenges. This helps these individuals find work and live more independently.

Veer's Clothing Line

Veer found a new way to raise money for its work. They sell clothes that are sewn and stitched by women in villages. When people buy these clothes, the money helps the Veer campaign. This also helps the women who make the clothes, allowing them to earn money and become self-sufficient.
