Satchela Evrard Djedje (born on August 25, 1992) is a popular French singer and songwriter. He is better known by his stage name, Vegedream. He sings hip hop, R&B, and urban pop music. Vegedream was born in Orléans, France, and has roots in Ivory Coast.
He is signed with Universal Music France. Vegedream became very famous in 2018 with his hit song Ramenez la coupe à la maison (which means Bring the cup back home). This song was a huge success and reached number one on the French music charts. It became the unofficial song for the France national football team during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Vegedream released his first album, Marchand de sable (Sandman), in 2018. Since then, he has released three studio albums. All of them have been very popular, reaching the top 10 in France. He has also released many singles, with several of them appearing on music charts.
About Vegedream
Vegedream's family comes from Gagnoa in the Ivory Coast. His father and his uncle, Ziké, are both from there. Ziké is also a musician. Because of his family's background, Vegedream often says "(Et) ça c'est Vegedream de Gagnoa" in his songs. This means "(And) This is Vegedream from Gagnoa." He started using this phrase after visiting Gagnoa when he was a child. People sometimes call him "Vegedream de Gagnoa," "Vege," or even "Vegeta," like the character from a famous cartoon.
