Vendée facts for kids
Vendée is a special area, also known as a "department," located in western France. It is part of a larger region called Pays de la Loire. The main city in Vendée is La Roche-sur-Yon. Around 577,000 people lived there in 2006. Vendée was one of the first 83 departments created during the French Revolution.
