Venice, Missouri facts for kids
Venice is a small place in the state of Missouri, in the United States. It is called an "unincorporated community." This means it is a group of homes and buildings, but it does not have its own local government like a city or town. Venice is located in Shannon County. You can find it along Missouri Route 19. It is northwest of a town called Eminence and south of a place known as Round Spring.

Venice had a post office that opened in 1913. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years. It stayed open until 1933. The name "Venice" was chosen by an early postmaster. He picked the name from something he was reading at the time.
