Vernon Bigman was born in 1958. He studied art at several great schools. He earned his first art degree, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, from the San Francisco Art Institute. He then got a higher degree, a Master of Fine Arts, from the Pratt Institute. This school is in Brooklyn, New York. He also learned at the Institute of American Indian Arts.
