Victoria is a special area called a municipality in the country of Honduras. It is part of the department of Yoro. Think of a department like a state or province, and a municipality like a large town or county within it.
This area is served by Victoria Airport. It's a small airport with a grass runway that is about 700 meters long.
People of Victoria
In 2013, a census was taken in Honduras to count how many people lived in different areas. At that time, Victoria municipality had a population of 33,019 people.
Most of the people living in Victoria, about 88.60%, were Mestizo. This means they have a mix of European and Indigenous heritage.
About 7.14% of the people were Indigenous. A large part of this group, 6.69%, were from the Tolupan people, who are native to Honduras.
A smaller number of people, 3.63%, were identified as White. About 0.61% were Black or Afro-Honduran, and a very small number, 0.02%, were from other groups.
