Victoria Abril (born on July 4, 1959) is a famous Spanish actress and singer. She has made many movies and is well-known for her roles, especially in films directed by Pedro Almodóvar. Victoria Abril also lives in France.
About Victoria Abril's Career
Victoria Abril was born in Malaga, Spain. She became famous in Spain in 1976 after appearing on a TV show called Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez. She worked on this show for two years. Besides working in Spain, she has also made movies in France, Italy, and Iceland.
Victoria Abril has won several important awards for her acting. She was nominated eight times for the Goya Awards, which are like the Oscars in Spain, and she won one of them. She also won the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 41st Berlin International Film Festival for her role in the movie Amantes. A couple of years later, she received the Berlinale Camera award at the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival.
Victoria Abril is also a talented singer. In 2005, she released her first album, which was a mix of bossanova and jazz music. It was called PutchEros do Brasil. She even tried to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1979 with her song "Bang-Bang-Bang."
