Viddal Ethan Danso Riley (born on July 7, 1997) is a talented English professional boxer, rapper, and internet star. He currently holds the title of English cruiserweight champion.
He proudly represented England at the EUBC European Junior Boxing Championships in Anapa, Russia, in 2013. There, he won a silver medal, showing his early boxing skills. Viddal is undefeated in his professional boxing career, with 12 wins. He used to be promoted by Mayweather Promotions but is now with Boxxer. He is also well-known for being the boxing trainer for the famous YouTuber KSI from 2017 to 2019.

About Viddal Riley
Viddal Riley was born on July 7, 1997, in Hackney, London. He went to Northumberland Park Community School in Tottenham, England.
Before becoming a professional boxer, Viddal worked as a personal trainer at a gym in Stratford, London. This is where he first met and trained several well-known YouTube personalities, including KSI. His work with KSI, especially during the fights against Logan Paul, helped Viddal become very famous.
His Amateur Boxing Journey
Viddal started boxing at just six years old. His father, Derrick Riley, introduced him to the sport. As a young amateur, he trained at the West Ham Boxing Club.
He won eight national championships, which is a huge achievement! He also earned a European Junior Silver Medal in Anapa, Russia. In 2014, he was chosen to be a Youth Olympian for Team GB in Nanjing. Viddal had an impressive amateur record of 41 wins and 8 losses, with 19 knockouts.
Becoming a Professional Boxer
Starting His Pro Career
Viddal first visited the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas in 2018. He was preparing for KSI's second amateur fight against Logan Paul. While there, he sparred with Andrew Tabiti, who was a champion boxer at the time. Viddal impressed Jeff Mayweather and Amer Abdallah, and soon after, he signed a deal to become a professional boxer.
Viddal made his professional debut on November 30, 2018, in Tijuana, Mexico. He won his first fight by knockout in the very first round against Julio Manuel Gonzalez. He had another first-round knockout win in his next fight against Mitchell Spangler in Las Vegas on January 19, 2019. This fight was part of a big event featuring Manny Pacquiao.
His third fight was in Dubai on May 3, 2019, where he won by a unanimous decision against Austine Nnamdi. Viddal was the main event for this fight. In November 2019, fellow boxer Lawrence Okolie, who later became a world champion, praised Viddal. He said Viddal was one of the top five people he had ever sparred with.
Viddal continued his winning streak on February 28, 2020, in Las Vegas. He won another unanimous decision against Muhammad Abdullah, making his record 4 wins and 0 losses.
He had to miss some fights because of a back injury. In November 2021, Viddal signed a new deal with the boxing company Boxxer.
Viddal made his UK debut on February 19, 2022, as part of the Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook fight event. He fought Namibian boxer Willbeforce Shihepo and won by unanimous decision, improving his record to 5 wins and 0 losses. In his sixth professional fight on June 11, Viddal had a huge knockout victory over Jone Volau in just 51 seconds of the first round.
Fighting for the English Cruiserweight Title
Riley vs. Quarless
On September 30, 2023, Viddal Riley faced Nathan Quarless for the vacant English cruiserweight championship. This big fight took place at the York Hall in London. Viddal won by a unanimous decision, meaning all three judges thought he won every round. After his victory, Viddal challenged Isaac Chamberlain, who had just won the British cruiserweight title.
Riley vs. Lawal
On February 16, 2024, it was announced that Viddal would defend his English cruiserweight title against former British champion Mikael Lawal. This fight was on March 31 at The O2 Arena in London. Viddal also signed a new long-term deal with Boxxer.
Before the fight, Viddal told his fans he would take on tough challenges to try and win a world title in the future. He successfully defended his English cruiserweight title by unanimous decision. During the fight, Lawal fractured three of Viddal's ribs in the first round. After the match, Isaac Chamberlain criticized Viddal's performance, leading to a heated discussion between them.
Riley vs. Garber
In December 2024, Viddal was set to fight Steve Eloundou Ntere. However, Ntere pulled out, and Dan Garber stepped in. This fight was Viddal's first at heavyweight, so his English Cruiserweight title was not on the line. Viddal defeated Garber by technical knockout in the second round.
Cancelled Fight with Isaac Chamberlain
After beating Garber, Viddal and Isaac Chamberlain verbally agreed to fight in February 2025. The fight was scheduled for February 1, 2025, at the Wembley Arena in London. However, on January 20, it was announced that Chamberlain had to withdraw due to an injury.
Riley vs. Clarke
After the cancellation of the Chamberlain fight, it was confirmed Viddal would not fight a replacement on February 1. Instead, he would fight later. On January 23, it was confirmed that Viddal Riley would face British and WBA Intercontinental Cruiserweight champion Cheavon Clarke. This exciting match will be on April 26 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Viddal is very active on social media. He has a YouTube channel with over a million subscribers. He also releases his own music on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
He is also the founder and owner of RIL Athletics, which is his own clothing brand.
