Viera Janárčeková (born September 23, 1941, died May 14, 2023) was a Slovakian pianist and composer. She created many pieces of music and was known for her skills on the piano.

Viera Janárčeková was born in a town called Svit in Slovakia. She loved music from a young age. She studied two instruments, the harpsichord and the piano. She attended the State Conservatory in Bratislava.
Later, she continued her music studies in Prague. She also learned from a famous pianist named Rudolf Firkušný. After finishing her education in 1967, she began teaching music. She also performed as a pianist, sharing her music with audiences.
In 1972, Viera Janárčeková moved to Homberg, Germany. From 1981, she focused on writing her own music. In 2000, she was invited to be a special composer at the International Festival in Lockenhaus. This meant she was honored for her musical creations.
Viera Janárčeková passed away on May 14, 2023, in Großbottwar, Germany.
Her Musical Works
Viera Janárčeková mainly wrote music for small groups of instruments. These are called chamber ensembles. She also composed pieces for single instruments.
