Club History
Vigevano Calcio was founded in 1921. It was first known as Giovani Calciatori Vigevanesi. This name means "Young Vigevanese Footballers" in English.
The team had a successful period in the 1930s and 1940s. During this time, they played in the Serie B league for 11 seasons. Serie B is a very important professional football league in Italy.
Recent Seasons
In the 2010–11 season, Vigevano played in Serie D group A. This is one of the top amateur football leagues in Italy. At the end of that season, the team finished 18th in their group. This result meant they were moved down to a lower league.
Since then, Vigevano has been playing in Eccellenza Lombardy. This league is a regional amateur league in Italy.
