Villa Cañás is a small city located in the southern part of the Santa Fe province in Argentina. It is about 370 kilometers (230 miles) away from the provincial capital. The city is also close to Venado Tuerto.
According to a 2010 count, about 9,400 people live in Villa Cañás. The city was started in 1902 by a person named Juan Cañás. It was officially recognized as a comuna (a type of local government for smaller towns) on March 7, 1903.
