Villa Darwin is a small village in the western part of Uruguay. It is located in the Soriano Department, which is a region in the country. Sometimes, the rural area around the village is also known as Sacachispas.
Geography
Villa Darwin is found about 14 kilometers (about 9 miles) down a road that turns off from Route 14. This road goes north. The village is about 35 kilometers (about 22 miles) east of a city called Mercedes.
The closest village to Villa Darwin is Palmar, which is located to the east-northeast. A small river, called Arroyo Perico Flaco, flows along the eastern edge of Villa Darwin. This stream is about 4 kilometers (about 2.5 miles) south of where it flows into the Río Negro, a larger river.
