Villanueva de la Concepción is a charming town in southern Spain. It is part of the province of Málaga, which is in the autonomous community of Andalucía. The town is about 35 kilometers (22 miles) away from the big city of Málaga.
This lovely town sits right at the foot of a famous natural area called El Torcal. Its elevation is usually between 400 and 500 meters (1,300 to 1,600 feet) above sea level. Villanueva de la Concepción is known as one of the most romantic villages in Spain. This is because the local government has added many sweet messages to the streets.
