Early Life and Learning

Vis Brown was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His dad, Pervis Brown, owned a business, and his mom, Thelma Brown, was a teacher. Vis was the youngest of three children.

He went to Ladue Horton Watkins High School in Ladue, Missouri and finished in 1994. After high school, he studied English at Xavier University of Louisiana. Later, he earned a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.

While working in Baltimore, Maryland, Vis found his love for acting on stage. He had been interested in performing since he was a kid. He soon found a manager and started working on small plays.

Acting Career

In 2002, Vis Brown moved to Los Angeles to follow his dream of acting. He trained at the Ruskin School of Acting in Santa Monica, California. There, he learned a special acting method called the Meisner technique.

After getting a talent manager and an agent, Vis quickly joined the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). This allowed him to get roles in theater, independent movies, and television shows.

Vis first appeared in a movie called Malibu Spring Break in 2003. He then got a role on the NBC TV show Crossing Jordan in 2006, where he acted alongside Jill Hennessy. In 2007, Vis got his first big movie role in The Lucky Ones (film). This movie also starred famous actors like Rachel McAdams, Tim Robbins, and Michael Pena. The Lucky Ones was released by Lionsgate Films and directed by Neil Burger, who also directed The Illusionist (2006 film).
