Vision Apartments is a very tall residential building, also known as a skyscraper, located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was completed in 2016. As of August 2018, Vision Apartments was one of the tallest buildings in Melbourne. It stands out in the city's skyline.

Building History

In 2008, a company called The Brady Group bought the land where Vision Apartments now stands. The land was next to the Queen Victoria Market car park. They paid about AUD$11.8 million for it.

By 2009, The Brady Group planned to build a residential skyscraper there. After some design changes, they officially started the project in 2011. The plans showed a building that would be 223 meters (732 feet) tall. It would have more than 500 apartments spread across 69 levels. There would also be three levels underground.

Construction Begins

The government approved the project in November 2012. Construction on the huge building, which cost between AUD$400 million and $500 million, began in October 2013. The goal was to finish the building by mid-2016.

During construction, there were some small changes to the original plans. For example, two of the planned underground car park levels were not built. However, the developer made sure to update the plans to reflect these changes. By July 2016, the skyscraper had reached its full height. It was fully completed a few months later.

Vision Apartments Today

Today, Vision Apartments is one of the tallest residential buildings in the center of Melbourne. It is also one of the top ten tallest buildings in Melbourne overall. It provides homes for many people in the city.
