Vitinho's Football Journey
Vitinho started his professional career in Brazil. He played for a club called Botafogo. During the 2013 season, he scored 4 goals in 16 games in Brazil's top league, called Série A.
Moving to Europe
On September 2, 2013, Vitinho signed a five-year contract with PFC CSKA Moscow, a big football club in Russia. When he first joined CSKA, he was often used as a substitute player. This means he would come into the game later, instead of starting. His old club, Botafogo, was interested in having him come back on a temporary deal.
Loan to Internacional
On January 16, 2015, Vitinho joined another Brazilian club, Sport Club Internacional, for a one-year loan. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. His loan was later extended until the end of 2016. During this time, he also extended his contract with CSKA Moscow until 2020. Vitinho returned to CSKA Moscow in January 2017.
Playing for Brazil
Vitinho also had the chance to play for his country. In 2012, he played two games for the Brazilian Olympic team. This team is made up of younger players who might play in the Olympic Games.
