Vivian Green's Early Life and Musical Start
Vivian Green was born on May 22, 1979, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From a very young age, she loved to sing, play the piano, and write songs. When she was 13, Vivian joined a girl group called Younique. She also went to Parkway Northwest High School.
Vivian showed her talent early by helping to write the song "Dear God" for the famous group Boyz II Men in 1997. Her big chance came at age 19 when she became a backup singer for Jill Scott. This job took her on a tour around the world. In 2000, she signed a record deal with Columbia Records.

A Love Story: Vivian's First Album

She also played Brenda Holloway in a TV show called American Dreams.

The Green Room: Her Fourth Album
Vivian's fourth album, The Green Room, came out on October 9, 2012. The first song released from this album was "Anything Out There". In 2012, she also worked with other artists on songs like "Love" and "Still Here". She performed at many festivals and appeared on TV music shows in 2013.
Vivid: A New Record Label
In 2014, Vivian joined a new record label called Make Noise Recordings, started by rapper and producer Kwamé. Her fifth album, Vivid, was released in 2015. The song "Get Right Back to My Baby" from this album reached number 2 on the Billboard UAC chart. Vivian was also nominated for a Soul Train Award in 2015. In 2016, her song "Grown Folks Music (Work)" also became a top 15 hit.
VGVI: Her Sixth Album
Vivian released her sixth album, VGVI, on October 6, 2017. The first song from this album, "I Don't Know", became a top 10 hit on Billboard's Adult R&B chart.
Love Absolute: Her Latest Work
In 2019, Vivian Green signed a new deal with SoNo Recording Group. Her seventh studio album, Love Absolute, was released on November 13, 2020.
Vivian's Personal Life
