Vlasios Tsirogiannis (Βλάσιος Τσιρογιάννης, 1872–1928) was an important officer in the Hellenic Army, which is the army of Greece. He rose through the ranks to become a Lieutenant General, a very high position.

Early Life and Military Start
Vlasios Tsirogiannis was born on January 1, 1872, in a place called Karvasaras, which is now known as Amfilochia in Greece. He joined the Greek Army as a volunteer when he was just 17 years old, on September 1, 1889.
Becoming an Officer
He started as a non-commissioned officer (NCO), which means he was a leader but not yet a full officer. While he was still training at the NCO School, he took part in the Greco-Turkish War of 1897. This was a conflict between Greece and the Ottoman Empire. After his training, he officially became an Infantry 2nd Lieutenant on August 9, 1899.
Secret Mission in Macedonia
In 1904, Vlasios Tsirogiannis went on a secret mission during the early part of the Macedonian Struggle. This was a time when Greeks were fighting for control of the region of Macedonia. He went to Strumica and pretended to be the headmaster of a Greek school. His secret code name during this time was Dalis.
Military Service in Major Wars
Vlasios Tsirogiannis served in several important wars for Greece, showing his bravery and leadership skills.
Balkan Wars (1912-1913)
During the Balkan Wars, which were conflicts in Southeast Europe, Tsirogiannis led groups of soldiers. He served as a company commander and later a battalion commander in the 10th Infantry Regiment.
World War I (1917-1918)
Later, during World War I, he commanded the 5th Infantry Regiment. He was stationed at the Macedonian front, which was a key battle area.
Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922)
After World War I, Tsirogiannis went to Asia Minor to fight in the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922).
- Leading in Kütahya: In July 1921, he led a special group of soldiers from the 9th Infantry Division during the capture of Kütahya.
- Battle of Sakarya: He then became the Chief of Infantry for the 9th Infantry Division during the very important Battle of the Sakarya in August–September 1921.
Later Commands
After a short break from service, he was called back to duty. He became the commander of the 3rd Infantry Division in the Army of the Evros. He then commanded the 2nd Infantry Division in Athens.
Final Years
Vlasios Tsirogiannis continued to serve his country at a high level. He eventually took command of the III Army Corps, a large military unit. He passed away on November 5, 1928, in Thessaloniki, while still serving as a Lieutenant General and commander of the III Army Corps.
