What is the W.R.C. Hall?
The letters W.R.C. stand for the Woman's Relief Corps. This group was formed to help people after the American Civil War. They specifically looked after veterans, their wives who had become widows, and children who had lost their parents.
The Woman's Relief Corps in Iowa Falls
The local W.R.C. group in Iowa Falls was called Payne Post #48. They started in 1886. They did many helpful and fun things for their community.

A Building with Many Lives

Eventually, the American Legion also gave the building away. They gave it to the city of Iowa Falls. The city then sold the building to a local person. Since then, the W.R.C. Hall has been used as a regular business building.
