Wahe Falls, also known as Moffett Creek Falls, is a beautiful waterfall in Oregon, United States. It is about 80 feet (24 meters) tall. You can find it in Multnomah County, within the amazing Columbia River Gorge.

Wahe Falls is the last of several waterfalls along Moffett Creek. This creek flows into an area called the John B. Yeon State Scenic Corridor.

What's in a Name?

The waterfall is officially called Wahe Falls. However, sometimes people call it Moffett Creek Falls. This is because the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) originally gave the name "Wahe" to a different waterfall further up Moffett Creek.

Because of this, people started calling this waterfall Moffett Creek Falls to avoid confusion. We don't know the exact meaning of the name "Wahe." Other waterfalls upstream on the creek are sometimes called "Upper Wahe."

How to Visit Wahe Falls

Getting to Wahe Falls can be a bit tricky. Moffett Creek starts near a hiking path called Gorge Trail #400. This trail is located on the west side of Munra Point.

However, the trail does not go all the way to Wahe Falls. To reach the waterfall, you need to follow the creek and its surrounding areas. There are several smaller, steep waterfalls before you get to Wahe Falls. This makes the journey moderately difficult.
