The Waitangiroto River is a river located on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. It's a relatively short river, about 17 kilometers (11 miles) long. This river flows through a beautiful part of New Zealand, eventually reaching the Tasman Sea.

The Waitangiroto River is found in the West Coast Region of New Zealand. This region is on the western side of the South Island. The river begins its journey north of a town called Whataroa. From there, it flows mainly towards the northwest.

The Waitangiroto River travels until it reaches the Tasman Sea. This happens about two kilometers (1.2 miles) north of the Okarito Lagoon. The Tasman Sea is a large body of water that separates New Zealand from Australia.
