The Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Philadelphia was a plan for a very tall building, also known as a skyscraper, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This building was going to be a fancy hotel and also have apartments where people could live. It was planned to be built in a spot where another large building, called One Meridian Plaza, used to be.
The idea was for this skyscraper to be about 670 feet (204 meters) tall and have 58 floors. It was supposed to be finished by the year 2012. The hotel part would have been managed by the Waldorf-Astoria Collection. This is a group of very luxurious hotels owned by a company called Hilton Hotels Corporation. However, the plan for the Waldorf Astoria Philadelphia was stopped, and the land was sold in 2010.
