Walgrove got its name from nature! The area was once home to many walnut trees. A "grove" is a small group of trees. So, "Walgrove" literally means "walnut grove."
A post office was opened in Walgrove in 1917. Post offices are important places where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for about 20 years, closing its doors in 1937.
