Walter Berry (born May 14, 1964) is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He played for three seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After that, he had a very successful career playing in different leagues across Europe. He was known for playing the power forward position. Walter Berry, who grew up in New York City, was given the nickname "The Truth" early in his career. In 2022, he was honored by being added to the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame.

Walter Berry played college basketball for St. John's University in his hometown. The team was known as the St. John's Redmen back then.

In 1986, Berry won several important awards. These included the John Wooden Award, the Big East Men's Basketball Player of the Year award, and the USBWA College Player of the Year award. That year, he averaged 23 points and 11.1 rebounds per game, showing how skilled he was.

He played in the NBA for three seasons, from 1986 to 1989. During this time, he played for the Trail Blazers, Spurs, New Jersey Nets, and Houston Rockets.
