Walter Berry is an American former professional basketball player. He was born on May 14, 1964. Walter played as a power forward, a position where players are strong and score a lot of points. He was known for his great scoring skills.
Walter Berry started his career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After playing there for three seasons, he moved to Europe. He had a very successful career playing in different leagues across Europe, including the EuroLeague. Walter was nicknamed "The Truth" when he was younger. In 2022, he was honored by being added to the Greek Basket League Hall of Fame.

Playing in the NBA
Walter played in the NBA from 1986 to 1989. He played for four different teams:

- The San Antonio Spurs
- The New Jersey Nets
- The Houston Rockets
He played only 7 games for the Blazers before being traded to the Spurs. During his time in the NBA, Walter sometimes faced challenges getting along with his coaches. He ended up leaving the New Jersey Nets. Overall, he averaged 14.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in the NBA.
Success in Europe
In 1989, Walter moved to Italy to play for a team called Paini Napoli. After that, he spent many years playing in Greece. He played in the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. In Europe, Walter became known as a very smart scorer. He had many different ways to shoot and score points.
Later Career Activities
After his main professional career, Walter Berry continued to play basketball. He joined Jayson Williams' NBA Charity Team. In 2002, he went with Jayson Williams to the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. There, his charity team played in special exhibition games.
