Walter Thomas Bond (born February 1, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. He was a 6-foot-5-inch shooting guard. Even though he wasn't picked by an NBA team in the draft, he still played in the NBA for three seasons. After his basketball career, he became a motivational speaker and a TV host.

Basketball Career
Walter Bond was born in Chicago, Illinois. He played college basketball for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team. He was part of the team from 1987 to 1991. During his college career, he played in 93 games. He scored an average of 8.1 points and grabbed 3.8 rebounds per game.
Starting Professional Play
After college, Walter Bond began his professional basketball journey. His first team was the Saskatchewan Storm in the World Basketball League.
Playing in the NBA
Walter Bond played in the NBA for three different teams.
- He played for the Dallas Mavericks during the 1992–93 season.
- He was with the Utah Jazz in the 1993–94 season.
- He also played for the Detroit Pistons in the 1994–95 season.
In January 1995, he signed two short-term contracts with the Utah Jazz.
During his NBA career, Walter Bond played in 157 games. He scored a total of 874 points. Most of his points, 590, came from his time with the Dallas Mavericks. He scored 273 points with the Utah Jazz and 10 points with the Detroit Pistons. In only his second NBA game, on November 10, 1992, he scored his career high of 25 points. This happened while he was playing for the Mavericks against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Besides the NBA, Walter Bond also played in the CBA. He played for five different teams in this league between 1991 and 1998. In 1991, he was named to the CBA All-Rookie Team. His best season in the CBA was 1994–95. During that time, he scored an impressive 24 points per game for the Chicago Rockers.
He also played basketball overseas. He played professionally in Italy for Cirio Avellino in 1998. Later, he played in Germany for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. In the 1998–99 season, he averaged 16.4 points per game for Leverkusen in the German league.
Life After Basketball
After his playing career, Walter Bond became involved in other areas. He worked as part of the broadcast team for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is also a well-known motivational speaker. He helps inspire people to reach their goals. Walter Bond has also hosted a TV show called Giving You The Business on the Food Network. This show first aired in April 2013.
