Wálter Casagrande Júnior (born 15 April 1963), often called Casagrande, is a Brazilian football expert and former player. He played as a forward during his career.

Casagrande's Football Journey
Playing for Clubs
Casagrande played for many different clubs from 1980 to 1996. In Brazil, he played for famous teams like Corinthians, São Paulo, and Flamengo. He also played in Europe for FC Porto in Portugal and Ascoli and Torino in Italy.
He won two important championships in São Paulo with Corinthians in 1982 and 1983. He played alongside another great player, Sócrates. They were known as one of the best attacking duos in Brazilian football history.
In 1986, Casagrande moved to Europe to join FC Porto. He won a major European trophy, the European Cup, in 1987 with them. After one season, he moved to Italy to play for Ascoli. He stayed there for four years, scoring 38 goals in 96 games. Fans loved him there. He helped Ascoli get promoted back to Italy's top league, Serie A, in 1991.
Next, he joined Torino. In 1992, he helped Torino reach the final of the UEFA Cup, another big European competition. He scored important goals in the semi-finals and final. He also scored two goals in a big local derby match against Juventus. In 1993, he helped Torino win the Coppa Italia, a national cup competition. He played 69 games for Torino and scored 19 goals.
Casagrande returned to Brazil in 1993 to play for Flamengo. He later had a second time playing for Corinthians from 1994 to 1995. Overall, he played 256 games and scored 102 goals for Corinthians. He finished his career in 1996.
Playing for Brazil
Casagrande also played for the Brazil national football team. He played 19 matches for his country between 1985 and 1986, scoring nine goals. He was part of the Brazilian team that played in the 1986 FIFA World Cup, where he played in three games.
