After his studies, Walter Lambe started working in churches. By 1477, he was a clerk at Holy Trinity College, Arundel. A clerk in this context helped with church services and music. In 1479, he moved to St George's Chapel, Windsor. There, he worked as a clerk for the choir. This means he helped the singers in the church.
