Wang Yupu (Chinese: 王玉普; pinyin: Wáng Yùpǔ; October 1956 – 8 December 2020) was an important person in China. He was a politician and a businessman. He was known for leading big companies and government departments. One of his major roles was being the chairman of Sinopec. This is one of the world's largest oil refining companies.

Early Life and Career
Wang Yupu was born in a place called Xinmin County in Liaoning, China. He started his career working in the Daqing Oil Field. This is a very large oil field in China. It was an important place for him to begin his work in the oil industry.
Important Roles
Wang Yupu held several important jobs during his career. These roles showed his skills in both business and government.
Leading Sinopec
From 2015 to 2017, Wang Yupu was the chairman of China Petrochemical Corporation, also known as Sinopec. This company is one of the biggest oil refiners in the world. Being its chairman meant he was in charge of a huge business.
Director of Work Safety
In September 2017, Wang Yupu became the Director of the State Administration of Work Safety. This government department works to make sure workplaces are safe. They try to prevent accidents and injuries.
Minister of Emergency Management
In March 2018, he was appointed as the very first Minister of Emergency Management. This new ministry was created to handle emergencies and disasters. It helps coordinate rescue efforts and manage crises across China.
Later Life
Wang Yupu passed away on December 8, 2020. He was 64 years old at the time.
