Warrenville is a community in Aiken County, South Carolina, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area the U.S. Census Bureau defines for gathering statistics. In 2010, about 1,233 people lived here. Warrenville is located just south of Graniteville. It is also part of the larger Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area. Warrenville is found in the historic Horse Creek Valley.

Warrenville's History
In 2008, there was a discussion about Warrenville joining with nearby villages. These villages included Graniteville and Vaucluse. The idea was to create one larger, officially recognized town.
Voting on a New Town
The towns decided to hold a special vote, called a referendum. This vote would let people decide if they wanted to become one municipality. If approved, the new town would have covered an area of about 20 square miles (52 square kilometers). However, the idea was voted down in August 2008. Most people voted against it.
Historic School Building
The Warrenville Elementary School is an important building in the community. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. This list includes places that are important to the history of the United States.
