Wasit Province facts for kids
Wasit (Arabic: واسط) is a province located in the eastern part of Iraq. Its main city and capital is Al Kut. The name Wasit comes from an Arabic word that means "middle" or "center." This province is found along the Tigris River, which is a very important river in Iraq. It's located about halfway between the cities of Baghdad and Misan.
