Watch This Space was a fun Australian children's show. It was a science fiction series that aired on the ABC channel. The show ran from April 7 to June 13, 1982.
Meet Rufus the Alien
The main character in Watch This Space was a red-skinned alien named Rufus. He was played by actor Paul Chubb. This was Paul Chubb's first big role on a TV series. Rufus comes to Earth with a big dream: he wants to become a star in show business!
Rufus's Earth Adventures
Rufus gets help from a local man, played by Ron Blanchard. This kind human friend tries to help Rufus fit in on Earth. They even disguise Rufus's spaceship to look like a normal house! Later, the human friend moves in with Rufus as his roommate.
Rufus doesn't know much about Earth's culture. This often leads to funny and awkward situations. His human friend usually has to explain Rufus's strange behavior. He also has to hide the fact that Rufus has a talking computer on his spaceship!
